Filippo Grillo/Getty ImagesIt was a good game for Juventus, but they were not as good as the team that defeated Roma in the Champions League.
Juventus had a great start and it was the same in the second half, with Juve going ahead in the 33rd minute after Alessandro Matrić had already put Roma in front.
Roma got the first shot of the half but Alessandro Giorgi missed it.
Roma had to settle for a penalty, which they got thanks to Matričć’s cross.
The Giallorossi had a few chances in the first half, but did not score, and it looked like a draw would have been enough to see them through to the knockout stages.
Rio did manage to grab a consolation goal, but that was not enough to earn the victory, and Roma will now face Juventus in the quarter-finals of the Champions Leagues.
